Turano/Stocco Wedding | September 15, 2018

Updated: Oct 25, 2018

This. This picture above right here. This about sums about the Danny & Marianna's wedding day in one photo. This wedding party HAD. A. BLAST! And what a day to celebrate it was. But this was a day that was not only a party for all, but it was a day that was filled with more raw emotion and genuine love than I have ever experienced before. (Not to mention lots and LOTS of tears...)

So, let's start in the morning. The first time I cried of the day was around 8:15am. Mari was opening her gift from Danny. I don't need to let her go into detail, but let's just say his gift was something out of a fairy tale. I may have to hook Danny up with my husband for a little lesson in classic romance! Mari, if I haven't said it before, you are one lucky lady! I knew right away that this was going to be a special day ahead for these two. Second time I cried of the day: Ohh, just a couple hours later when I learned that Danny's cuff links were pictures of his late mother and grandmother. Crap! I'm crying and the wedding hasn't even started yet. I'm not cut out for this job!

The ceremony was just beautiful. The kids almost stole the show....that was until Mari and her dad walked down the aisle. I don't know which was harder, looking at her face, or looking at her weeping husband at the front of the church. We all learned about Danny's "wedding folder" and heard the priest speak of the outpouring of love Mari has for those in her life. Let's just call the ceremony my third cry of the day.

After we were all given a break from the tears for a little bit, the party started for this crew. It may have been hot out on this September afternoon, but Mari and Danny's friends,....well, they know how to have fun! We stopped at Danny's new job to take some photos, and maybe they had some drinks....maybe?

Ahhh, the reception. We finally made it to the evening. This is the party, the part everyone's been waiting for,....but oh wait, yeah,...I cried some more there! No, in all honesty, they outdid themselves here. Let me shout out some major credit to Miss Nicole Becker, the Wedding Coordinator for the Stars! haha. She worked her butt off for over a year with Danny and Mari, and they got it right for this reception, that's for sure. From the Harry Potter decor and theme to the most amazing wall of donuts I've ever seen; this was the setting for a perfect evening for these two. But oh yes, let me just add that you would be hard-pressed to find someone who attended this reception and DIDN'T cry. Each speech got better and better, all of them so heartfelt and clearly from people who love these two so so so much. But the moment that got us all was Danny's tribute to his mom, Rosa, and him asking his beautiful sister, Nicole, the woman who took over in his life after her passing, to dance. Not a dry eye in this room people. I almost couldn't take the pictures. What a perfect tribute to their mother it was. And as Nicole said best, "Mari is the exact bride she would have chosen for her Danny."

If it isn't already super obvious through looking at these photos, this is such an amazing couple, and I feel so blessed to have been a part of their day. They know how to laugh (Danny's laugh can literally be heard a mile away, I think); they know how to love; and they know how to throw one heck of a party! When I hugged them goodbye for the night, I felt like I was hugging people I had known for my whole life. Though I've only met them three times through our engagement shoot and planning meetings, this couple knows how to make everyone feel loved, special, and like family. It was so obvious that everyone at that reception was not just friends, but family to this couple. I can't wait to see what life holds for you two. I hope I have years of watching you grow together, and when you have those babies, you better call me to take all of their little Harry Potter photos because I am going to want to meet them!
