Kendall & Aaron } The Perfect Backyard Wedding

Updated: Jun 4, 2018

They say the attention is in the details, and man, did that hold true on June 2, 2018 when Kendall and Aaron, along with the parents, hosted the most beautiful backyard wedding I've ever seen in my life. Move over, Pinterest. This had every piece of country chic from the moment the guests pulled up til the moment they sat down to eat.

The guests couldn't have been bored if they tried. Between the pig roast, oversized outdoor yard games, and the live band; there was not a minute of downtime and then fun carried on throughout the night.

And the wedding party, well Aaron and Kendall, let's just say your friends and family lived up to their expectations. The bridesmaids, Kendall's best friends, doted on her every need. They barely let the bride's dress touch the ground.

They were fixing her makeup, teasing her hair, and getting her drinks all day long. The maid of honor not only spilled the dirty secrets of their childhood, but I also may have captured a few pictures of the inside of their secret "Dawson's

Creek" journal from childhood.

And the groomsmen, Aaron's brothers, were just about as funny as any two men I've gotten to spend a day with. Not only did the best man's speech have everyone dying of laughter, but they jumped at every detail to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. I believe some backup kegs were called in right before the speeches got underway. I was blown away by the love of this bridal party. In fact, guys,....can I come hang out with you from now on? My number is on my website....give me a call next time you're all together!! :)

I'll save the wild and crazy photos for the bride and groom to share....But man oh, man,...I had to keep this wedding party in order yesterday. I think I may need to add "wedding coordinator" to my list of responsibilities if the rest of my wedding parties are going to be as crazy as you guys!

It's so obvious that you love this couple, and they love you. If you are any indicator of how much fun this future will hold for this couple, then it is going to be one wild and crazy ride!

But the best thing about this backyard wedding, better than the amazing country BBQ, the perfect set up, or the amazing bridal party.....that all came second to this amazing couple. The thing that I love most about weddings is being a part of two people's lives coming together. Aaron and Kendall have been together for well over a decade, and they are just one of those couples that you look at, and you know. You know its right. You know its real. And you know its going to last. Their concern throughout the day was heartwarming. They kept asking, "Where's Aaron? How's Kendall doing? What can I do for you?"

The pastor said it best when he said that marriage is putting your spouse above yourself. And while they will always still have their friends, and they will always require a little "me" time, I think everyone there yesterday could see that these two will always and forever put the other above him or herself. I got to be a witness to something really great yesterday. I got to watch them laugh together, cry together, and make that ridiculous "ugly face" together. I know that when you look back on this day, you will smile because it was the beginning of something so magical and so special, that none of the rest of us will ever even understand. As Melanie, Kendall's maid of honor said, "we all hope to one day find the Aaron to our Kendall.

We were both young when I first saw you I close my eyes and the flashback starts I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air

See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns See you make your way through the crowd And say hello

Little did I know That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet" And I was crying on the staircase Begging you, please, don't go

And I said, "Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone I'll be waiting, all that's left to do is run You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess It's a love story, baby just say yes

So I sneak out to the garden to see you We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew So close your eyes, escape this town for a little while
